Cartoon-of-the-day : AIDS (not funny)

Nope, this one isn't funny at all. I heard of the report on AIDS worldwide, and some conclusion made me think...

AIDS report

Yes, cartoons can be a way to express oneself on more than light subjects.

That´s a really sad story. And it often happens to women in Africa who are permanently repressed by men. Thanks for reminding us, Kandi.

AID's is never funny but hopefully cartoons like yours can help remind people that we haven't found a cure and it is still spreading like wildfire.

The sad part is that so many women are being infected by unfaithful husbands. Or worse, there's still the superstition in Africa that sex with a virgin will cure AIDS, so young girls are raped... and infected.

Why can't we all just grow up and be responsible?

Thanks for this, kaNd.

Works like this are such valuable educational tools. People who wouldn't dream of reading a newspaper article on the spread of AIDS will take a moment to look at a cartoon.

Thank you for this comment. I didn't think of this as I'm a newspaper daily reader, but you're right.
