Ours is...
snore like a buzz saw. Sleeping like a log isn't actually very good, since you roll over and over and over in bed. And why would anyone want to sleep like a baby? Wake up every two hours either hungry or have wet yourself? Not for me. I sleep like the dead. :)

"Buzz saw"? Do I must understand that English-speaking people started snoring only two hundreds years ago??? We were early starters. Put the blame on cooking, perhaps...
We sleep like "une bûche" (log), "une souche" (tree stump), "un paquet" (parcel), a baby (yes, I agree with you!), "une masse" (load), "un ange", "un loir" (dormouse), "une marmotte", "à poings fermés" (with closed fists), "un sabot" (clog), "d'un sommeil de plomb" (lead sleep)...
