Fox & Ratty Cartoon Of The Day: Stage, #7

Râkshasas are demons. They ate humans at breakfast :o/
But they were useful at first as they protected sacrifices, intervening when these weren't conducted properly. They did that by eating the brahmans (priests), yerk. The gods decided to eradicate them because their king, Râvana, became too powerful (he conquered the "three worlds", vanquishing the gods themselves) and threatened the whole Universe...

NB- I'm not sure Foxy entirely hates the way he's treated here LOL

LOL...no, I'm sure Foxy loves the way he's treated. :) Ratty looks perfect! I'm not exactly sure what he has on his head though.

I can usually take one of the words you use in your description and google it and get even more information. I learned that the "Râkshasas" also had shape shifting ability. :)

I really, really love this series. :) Thank you!

That's right, râkshasas can shift shape, like monkeys...
Their king, Râvana, after thousand years of tapas asked for invicibility. He couldn't be killed by demons, gods, etc. But he was so proud he didn't think of asking about men... So the Gods had to provoke the birth of a human hero (Râma) to kill him. In fact Râma was an avatar of Vishnu, but he wasn't aware of the fact, which made the difference.
