They promised us rain for at least 5 days, and still nothing. They even don't forecast any now... It's hot (far too hot for me) and dry! I asked the gardener to install the hoses net Paul had prepared years ago. I've watered twice, and today I ate my first raspberries. Yummy!

I hope you get rain soon. Watering with a hose is good, but there's nothing for the garden like a good couple of days of rain. =>}

Exactly. We need a good, long, heavy rain to drench the soil.

It's been baking here for about four days, but tonight clouds have come in and I've actually got a sweater on. It feels so good to be chilly! Tonight I'll be able to sleep with my favorite blanket instead of having one leg sticking out of just a sheet in order to keep cool.

But our garden is really charging along because of the hot weather. We've been eating raspberries and shelling peas (one of my favorites), but tonight we discovered a ripe squash and two good handfuls of green beans--our first. And the loganberries are starting. As a matter of fact, I just took a berry cobbler out of the oven and it's cooling as I type. ::sends virtual berry desert::

I hope you get rain soon. I know how hard it is to live through the parched times.

I wish I could send you some rain, we have had nothing but rain this winter. Yay for raspberries, I love them. :-)
