I want to watch "Men in Trees"...

I tried, I downloaded from Mininova, but I can't play it, sigh. I'll check if there's another delivery in a more compatible format...

Have you tried demonoid? I don't know if registration is still open, but I can send you an invitation code if needed. Or here, try this url: http://www.demonoid.com/files/download/1026054/4342384 I have no idea if that'll work, but it's worth a shot.

Actually, looking at this closer I think this is the same file that mininova had. Sorry!

Yes, and it's the No-TV I downloaded first by mistake :o/
It's the CORE_TORRENT that I can't read, though the "sample" is in .avi, but WMP doesn't recognize it.

ABC offers full recent episodes online, though you need a fast connection and even with my normally functional high-speed, their player often freezes on me. Though I did manage once to make it through an entire ep. You can check their presentation out here: http://dynamic.abc.go.com/streaming/landing

Unfortunately, the watching is limited to US-residents...

What a bummer!

I've had better luck with Kyle XY, since I've just been buying the episodes from iTunes at $1.99 each, which gets me a nice, clear picture and no ads. I've been glad for that... and even gladder to know we're supposed to see more of Nick's character in the second season. I'm definitely looking forward to that.

Those episodes weren't either available for sale to non-US-residents...
But those I could download from Mininova each week in a readable format so I didn't miss one. I really hope the series (both seasons!) will be bought by French TV, it's an excellent story, I loved it so much and Tom Foss was (is) a very good role for Nick.

Yes, I've really enjoyed Kyle XY, too. At first I was only motivated to watch it to see Nick; I figured nothing much of dramatic interest was going to come from Disney. But then I got sucked into the plot and characters. I think Matt Dallas does a really convincing job as Kyle, and in spite of a few places where the show has taken the predictable road, at many junctures they've opted for the less-traveled, messier (and therefore more interesting--to me at least) path to explore.

And how cool to see Nick's small part grow larger as the season progressed. I'm definitely interested in how his role will grow and fit into the larger story.

Have you tried it with another player?

I use VLC media player - http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ it's an open source player and therefore free, and will play practically anything.

I tried but only the avi sample and the starting credits are readable. There's a version "iPodNova". Do you think it could work? Before I spend 2 or 3 days downloading it :o)

Aqualegia is thinking the same thing that I am. Unfortunately my VLC player has been having problems lately and couldn't play this file either. The player that worked for me is GOM player... You might give that one a try. It plays files that won't open with anything else, and that I can't even burn to disc. Download is here: http://www.gomplayer.com/main.html I highly recommend trying it out. And it's free. :)

I did. The software searched for the appropriate codec and returned:

We couldn't find out related Codec.
This file might not be a proper video/audio format.
This file might be seriously damaged.

In fact it can't even read the avi sample and the only one file I could play with Viclan...

It's finally occurred to me that we may be overthinking this. If nothing else works, I could always make a copy of my videotape and send it. Let me know if this is the answer! :)

I was able to download from a torrent but then I had to convert it to a better avi file for it to play. I was then able to watch it with Windows Media Player.

Would you like me to upload the avi file to a file server so you can try downloading it from there?

God Bless You, you're my saviour! Yesyesyes, please. I haven't anything here, nor the knowledge :o) to convert video this way. Just tell me where it is, and I'll devotedly download it...

:) Check your email and let me know if it doesn't go well and we will try again.
