Damas Riffle
Technical details: Damas riffles (made of several bands of metal in a spiral) were used with black powder. In the '20s "T" powder became the hit. It was far most powerful and old riffles couldn't stand the explosion. So Paul's grand-father, who was a weapon-maker (seller) in Annecy sold a lot of new guns to local peasants... after selling them T powder for their old riffles... Or so Paul remembers :o)
