What a lovely graphic! And what a joy to see you posting!

Happy Birthday, Nick!

Thank you for the fb. Yes, I haven't posted for a long time, for many reasons. Mostly because all of you are discussing series I haven't seen or even heard of! or that I'm not especially fond of, generally because they're airing in France in the greatest disorder, and I seem to always fall on the same eps (Supernatural for one...). Others I just lost interest in or never had, like Heroes or Lost. I like Star Trek but I'm not familiar enough with this universe to enjoy reading fics. I love SG1 and SGA but I'm content with the original story, so I don't read a lot of fics either. In fact, besides XF fics, I'm just eager for fics inspired by Yamane Ayano's mangas!

As my husband's mental health is slowly degrading, I can't leave house (and even the living room) for more than a few tenths of minutes. So I'm spending my time reading (lot of mangas, novels...), watching movies and anime, and trying to learn Japanese (because of mangas, see above LOL). I haven't anymore ideas for cartoons, I'm completely dry, I don't even feel the need to draw! Before the smallest thing made me laugh and gave me ideas of pun, but not now. I had the greatest difficulty to find an idea for Nick's bd personal card, and achieved this only thanks to aqualegia during our weekly chats that help me keeping my sanity.

At least I decided to update my site Nick_Lea.fr, adding "CSI Miami" and "V", and announcing the upcoming airing of "Men in Trees" here, at last. Shame on me, I hadn't written about Nick since last fall...

Okay, time to have diner, and then I guess I'll go on reading "Ikebukuro West Gate Park II" by Ishida Ira. Nom nom.

Oh hon. I am so sorry that things are so hard for you right now. It must be so difficult watching your husband go through that, and having to help him with everything. You're really brave and amazing. I wish there was something I could do that would help - your cartoons have given smiles to so many of us in the past.

I used to read a lot of mangas! I haven't for awhile though. Maybe I should start again. Learning Japanese sounds like a real challenge! Do you read the mangas in Japanese?

Reading them in Japanese yet? OMG, nope. I'm at lesson 9 of "Japanese in Manga", learning kanjis at the same time, trying to understand those I meet here and there, and watching little lessons on NHK World (Japanese channel in English)... I recognize a word sometimes, in reading or in listening to anime LOL
Maybe later I'll be able to read some easy ones, I've bought magazines (yaoi of course XD) and some mangas that haven't been translated but from authors I really love, like Motoni Modoru or Hoshino Lily (and Yamane Ayano of course). I often read scanlations (Mangafox and several specialized sites) where I can discover new authors, helping me in choosing what to buy in French or in English.

Beautiful pic, kaNd! And great to see you around. Nick's birthday is easy for me to remember because it's also my sister's birthday. And oddly enough, I was just coming in from the cottage last night when Ben called out from the living room, "Hey, it's your favorite actor", and it was Nick's episode of CSI Miami. I'd seen it before, but I sat down and watched it again, because who could resist a good dose of Nick? :-)

Sorry life is hard/busy for you at the moment. I know how odd it feels, if you're a creative person, not to feel that creative drive. But it's only waiting in the wings for the right moment, and then it will come back. You'll see. {{{Hugs)))

Hello Susan,
Thanks for the fb. Yes, I too can't resist when finding some nickage on TV :o). I don't know when the inspiration will strike back, and when I have an idea I just don't feel enough peps to put it down onto the paper (I had one about the Soccer World Cup and the French comedia dell'arte there; as I hate soccer, our results were perfect with me!). Problem with Paul is he's like a child, only when you tell something to a child you know he's going to grow up and learn, but there it's just the contrary, alas.
(PS- I had to edit the post, I made a mistake in Italian, oops. Stupido!)
