About troubles in France...

... thanks to all who ask, but I'm in a small village, South suburb of Paris, and it's quiet here. I have no car to burn LOL. There are popular building blocks not that far, but it's several bus stations from here. Anyway, buses don't ride at night (as I said, small village.)
I don't know where all this is going, adults and "big brothers" in "cities" start to try to talk their children into their right mind. A good part of those arrested last night were underage (some under 12!) And what they're destroying is actually theirs, either cars or schools or shops...
There's neither political claim nor leader nor organization, just brats overwhelmed with poverty, unemployment, more or less obvious racism (both ways), fighting everything that can look like "authority" (including firemen and emergency rescue.)
Count on islamist extremists to throw oil on the fire and extreme-right wing to add provocation.
Police Minister (Sarkozy) is essentially busy with his national destiny (presidential poll to come), Prime Minister (Villepin) has his own agenda too, and President Chirac plays referee.
That's all, Folks...

That is the salary for uncontrollably immigration. First, to turn everything in and than nobody is responsible.

I've seen some of the footage on the news and I'm glad you posted about this, kaNd. I was thinking about how close you are to Paris and worrying if you were going to be in any danger. I hope all the troubles are over soon!

I'm glad to hear that you are not near any of the rioting and that you are safe. I have been following this on the news. I just hope that everyone will come to their senses, France is the last place I think of when it comes to violence like this. It's such a beautiful country, it's a same to see this dreadful scenes of violence. :-(
